More MIUI Beta Updates will Not Available for Budget Xiaomi Smartphones

Xiaomi announced today that it is altering its MIUI beta update rollout policy. The business is no longer going to provide beta updates for Redmi smartphones at the entrance level. From July 5, the fresh modifications will take impact. However, for all of its smartphones, none of these modifications will influence the stable update. We don't believe that the firm will exclude the Redmi Note lineup from the list of devices eligible for MIUI beta growth when talking about the entry-level devices. The phone such as Redmi 7 and Redmi 7A from next month will no longer receive beta updates.

The firm will also offer the phones that are younger than a year less preference. Even a year after its release, flagship smartphones will be restricted to just stable applications. Xiaomi also stated that if they stop prime assistance for that specific phone, the prime testers will be informed in 3 months ' progress. The Chinese MIUI forum announces the shift in approach.

Most OEMs now promise to provide their smartphones with up to 2 years of significant OS releases and periodic security patch releases. Last month, Xiaomi revealed that it will not update the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A entrance-level smartphones to Android 9.0 Pie last year. The firm quoted as the cause for canceling the significant Android release the absence of beta testers. Xiaomi also proposed changes to the stable variant for a smoother environment for customers using the MIUI beta version.
